Today was another day of working around the lodge. The big project was building an “eyebrow” overhang for the west-facing log wall of the main lodge. We erected a rough scaffolding a few days earlier and this is what we worked on today.
Bill and Pat mainly worked on the scaffolding while Dick and I was on the ground cutting rafters and other material. The job took almost all day to complete but fortunately we weren’t in the sun until the last few hours.
Around 6pm Dick and I were released from the job site to go find some northern pike big enough to pack home for a fall fish fry. Bill and Pat made it out on the lake a bit later. Both boats came back to camp with fish.
